Healthy eating is essential for health and well-being. Healthy eating builds a healthy body and is important for maintaining a healthy body weight. Healthy eating means eating a variety of nutritious foods. Along with being active, people who eat nutritious foods are more likely to lead longer, healthier lives.

In Lethbridge and surrounding communities, we are fortunate to have many resources to support healthy eating, including many local farms that grow nutritious foods. We also have many programs and services to support healthy eating for individuals, parents, families, child cares, schools and workplaces. Free healthy eating resources, guidance on healthy eating and nutrition advice are also available.

Interfaith Food Bank

Provides monthly food hampers, daily food supplements, and clothing vouchers to those in need.

U of L Students’ Union Food Bank

The U of L Student Union provides emergency food hampers to urrent student at the University of Lethbridge in need. Students are eligible to receive two hampers per month.
