Healthy eating is essential for health and well-being. Healthy eating builds a healthy body and is important for maintaining a healthy body weight. Healthy eating means eating a variety of nutritious foods. Along with being active, people who eat nutritious foods are more likely to lead longer, healthier lives.

In Lethbridge and surrounding communities, we are fortunate to have many resources to support healthy eating, including many local farms that grow nutritious foods. We also have many programs and services to support healthy eating for individuals, parents, families, child cares, schools and workplaces. Free healthy eating resources, guidance on healthy eating and nutrition advice are also available.

Downtown Farmers’ Market

The Farmers’ Market offers products that are made, baked, or grown. That means you can find crafts, fresh fruit and vegetables, home made baking, art work, hand made clothing, and so much more!

Lethbridge Exhibition Park - Farmers’ Market

Held each season at the Lethbridge Exhibition Grounds, this Farmer’s Market is South Alberta’s largest. Over 2000 people a day visit the market to find fresh produce from the area’s growers. Baked goods, organic options, exotic meats and preserves are just some of what to expect.
