Outdoor Winter Activity

Being active outdoors during the winter months may seem more challenging. It can be hard to find easy, affordable and fun outdoor activities. The Lethbridge College Be Fit for Life Centre will be hosting their annual Family Amazing Race at 1:30pm on Saturday March 15, 2014 at Henderson Lake. Here we will explore a variety of activities that can be done outdoors in any season, including winter. Register for free by emailing [email protected] by March 12. You will be entered to win some amazing prizes, including a Garmin GPS for Geocaching. Registrations after March 12th are welcome but will not be entered into the draw. 

What is geocaching? Geocaching is one giant treasure hunt that is great for family activity and team building events. It is a fun and exciting activity that combines technology, teamwork, and/or competition while searching for hidden items that can be located using a GPS. Not only do you have the opportunity to explore the outdoors here in Lethbridge, you can also geocache on vacation nearly anywhere in the world.
