Free Presentation - Walking The Talk


Everyone is invited to attend a research talk by Dr. Tudor Locke, the 2019 Alumna of the Year. She graduated from U of L (Phys Ed) in 1985 and is now a well-known researcher who studies walking behavior and public health. There is a brief bio below, as well as  the poster below (pdf)) for her presentation.  Please join us and see what the research is showing on step-based activity guidelines.  Talk is on Oct 18th from 3:30-4:30 pm in room SA7008 at the University of Lethbridge.


Dr. Catrine Tudor-Locke is the Dean of the College of Health and Human Services at University of North Carolina at Charlotte With funding from many public agencies and private foundations, Tudor-Locke is an internationally recognized researcher on the promotion of walking throughout the lifespan and the development of objective measures of physical activity using wearable technology. She has more than 280 articles published or in press in leading physical activity journals and  has delivered more than 85 invited academic presentations in the U.S. and internationally.
